New F series Klixon circuit breakers engineered for heavy truck, marine and industrial applications
ATTLEBORO, MA (OCTOBER 5, 2005) | Texas Instruments Incorporated’s (TI) (NYSE:TXN) sensors and controls division, a market leader in the global supply of circuit protection solutions, is introducing a new line of Klixon circuit breakers featuring surface–mount design flexibility.
Based on proven Klixon technology, the F–series surface–mounted circuit breakers provide 5,000 amp interrupt capability that exceeds industry performance standards. A 3/8–inch terminal option makes the F–series ideally suited for robust marine and heavy truck markets. This line of circuit breakers is also available for use in off–road equipment, electric vehicles and industrial applications.
This new surface–mount design allows circuit protection to be placed anywhere within the electrical system, providing easy access and visibility. In addition, the F–series also features trip–free capability, a safety mechanism designed to allow the circuit breaker to trip in an over current situation regardless of the position of the reset button.
The Klixon F–series circuit breaker is available with either 1/4" or 3/8" stud terminals to enable high torque connections and wide spacing for heavy gauge wire lugs. The internal components are enclosed in a vibration resistant, weatherproof, robust casing to protect against the harshest environments found in heavy trucks, off–road, marine and construction applications.
Available in either automatic reset or manual reset versions, the F–series is available in 35–150 amps ratings. The Klixon F–series circuit breakers:
