This compact, rugged switch utilizes a snap–acting stainless steel diaphragm that
reverses its curvature when pressurized to a customer specified actuation pressure. When
the disc snaps it opens or closes a set of electrical contacts by means of a transfer pin.
Resetting the switch occurs automatically when pressure drops below the release value.
The unique latching mechanism in the 29PS design assures safe electrical cutout even if the
reset button is held fully depressed. This trip–free design prevents the consumer from restarting
the equipment until the line pressure has dropped below the release setpoint.

Appropriate for a wide variety of HVAC/R, commercial, and industrial applications including: |
High and low limit safety controls on unitary and central air conditioning systems |
Clutch disconnect and fan cycling switches for vehicle air conditioners |
Hydraulic and oil sensors for construction and agricultural vehicles |

Validation testing done by Sensata to meet Sensata specifications and applicable agency requirements. Customer is responsible for validating device to actual application/vehicle environment and all user conditions. |
Excessive vibration levels induced by mounting locations, engine vibration, compressor vibrations, or other induced mechanical shock may exceed the exposure levels tested in the test lab and defined on Sensata’s prints & brochures. |
If product is exposed to temperatures or electrical loads exceeding limits defined, product performance and life requirements may be adversely affected. |
Sensata Technologies assumes no responsibility for customers' product designs or applications. Users must determine the suitability of the Sensata device described in this document for their application, including the level of reliability required. Many factors beyond Sensata’s control can affect the use and performance of a Sensata product in a particular application, including the conditions under which the product is used and the time and environmental conditions in which the product is expected to perform. As these factors are uniquely within the user’s knowledge and control, it is essential that the user evaluate the Sensata product to determine whether it is fit for a particular purpose and suitable for the user’s application and Sensata disclaims the warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. |
The expected design life of the product is in accordance with the testing documented in the Production Validation report for a specific part number and application. |
Expected accuracy throughout stated temperature limits is +/- 10% of initial calibration. Customer to validate performance in system to account for changes due to temperature. Product will experience additional calibration shift over life with respect to mechanical cycling in addition to changes due to temperature, over pressure, and other application related factors. |
Performance depicted based on observations of limited test samples (5 < n <50) of similar or derivative product as tested by Sensata and does not depict total variation or specific rating. Actual performance may vary. Information is provided for reference only. |
Sensata Technologies has not qualified this device for use in medical applications. Not recommended for use in volatile, explosive, or combustible atmospheres or in atmospheres that could have the potential of becoming ignited. Not recommended for immersion in fluids. Consult Sensata Technologies engineering for compatibility with specific working fluids or applications. |
